I am in need of assistance

Okay, blogger peeps, as the title says, I need some help. I'm writing a story and in it I have this Scottish guy. I quickly came up with a name for him that I thought was pretty good: Isaac Watts. A couple days later, I realized that was the name of a famous poet who has some poems in my literature book. (Good poems, but bad that I got so attached to that name JUST to find out it had already been USED. -_-)

So, I have two options: 1, change the first or last name or 2, reference it somewhere in the story and kind of make a joke of it.

Here's where I need your help. I can't think of a name of Scottish origin that I like more than Isaac Watts (I don't really care if the name Isaac is of Scottish origin or not, I thought it could work well with pretty much any background), so I need you guys to maybe toss a few names out there that you think are pretty cool (and at least SOUND Scottish). The guy's also an inventor, if that helps at all in the naming thing.

Side note: There is one thing that I dislike to the point of hating. That thing is math. I hold nothing against those of you who do like it, I just thought I'd say that and make this face again:

Dugan...makes me think of Dunkan, which makes me think of donuts, which could possible make me either hungry or sick while writing... =P

Lamburg...makes me think of Lambert... 'nuff said. >.>

It's the thought that counts, though, right?
