Easter is not just about the candy, people

Maggie looked around in awe. She didn't think it would actually work, but it had. "Jon? Stephanie? Hannah?" she called out, trying to see through the crowd. No one answered, and that fact troubled her. She took a deep breath and took in her surroundings a bit more. She was on a busy road with people and animals all around her. The air smelled like a farm with too many people working on it mixed with a sweet smell she couldn't identify. Upon further inspection, she realized she was in an outdoor market of sorts.

"Out of the way, child!" a woman yelled, pushing Maggie towards a stand with some sort of pastry being sold on it. It was then that Maggie realized she was hardly dressed for the time and place she was at. She was wearing her t-shirt, shorts, and Crocs, while everyone here wore a long coat over what she thought to be a very boring dress. She knew where she was, she just hadn't expected to be there.

"Baklava, child?" a voice asked her from behind. Maggie turned around to look and realized the speaker was a rather round man with a beard and hair that shrouded his whole face. Maggie glanced down at the pastry he was holding out to her and shook her head.

"No, thank you," she said softly. She began moving down the street, keeping an eye out for her friends. Eventually, she walked far enough to come to a quieter part of the city. She stopped and sighed, thinking about how hot and thirsty she was here. There were trees here and there, but mostly the surroundings consisted of brick houses (and not the type of brick she was accustomed to) and sand.

"So, this is Israel, huh?" Maggie murmured to herself, looking around again. Suddenly, two women came running down the road towards her. Following them a little ways was a young girl...wearing a pink tank-top and shorts. "Hannah!" Maggie yelled, running past the two woman and up to Hannah.

"Maggie, I just saw the COOLEST thing EVER!!" Hannah exclaimed. She was easily excited, so Maggie didn't think whatever it was could possibly be that spectacular.

"Yeah, what was that?" Maggie asked as the two continued walking in the direction Hannah had been running.

"An angel! A real, live angel!" Hannah exclaimed and Maggie stopped right in the middle of the road.

"What?" she asked, unable to comprehend this piece of information.

"I was just at the tomb, and the stone was all rolled away, and there was an angel there that told the women to go and tell the disciples that He's risen, just like He said!" Hannah was practically bouncing with excitement, now. "We have to keep going, come on!" Maggie began running along side her friend, wishing she had been there to see such a thing.

"Hey, have you seen Jon or Stephanie?" Maggie asked, panting, as they turned a corner.

"Stephanie stayed behind with the other Mary, but I haven't seen Jon." Hannah replied quickly. They caught sight of the two women just as they entered one of the many stone buildings. They ran up to one of the windows and crouched outside of it.

"The stone was rolled away, and an angel was there, telling us that He's risen!" one of the women said.

"What?" the voice of a man asked in disbelief.

"I saw it too, I did!" the other woman exclaimed. There was the sound of people and things moving around before the door burst open again. A man ran out and down the street where the women had just come from, followed shortly by another man, who was followed by a boy in shorts and a t-shirt.

"Jon!" Maggie gasped. "Come on!" she said, chasing after them. She and Hannah followed the two men until they came to a stop in front of a cave with an enormous stone next to it. Jon stood behind the two men, staring up at the tomb. Maggie couldn't help but stare as well. Hannah bent down to the ground and picked up a small rock. She threw the rock at Jon's back, hitting him.

"Ow!" the two girls heard him say as he spun around. Jon saw Maggie and Hannah and ran over to them without the men noticing. They were going into the tomb, anyways.

"I wondered where you two were..." Jon said, frowning at them.

"I was thinking the same thing, big brother." Maggie said with a smile. "Now all we need to find is-"

"Psst!" the three kids turned to see another girl standing behind a tree a ways away. Their faces lit up as they dashed towards her.

"Stephanie!" Hannah said, hugging her older sister.

"Yeah, nice to see you too," Stephanie said, untangling herself from the hug. "You are not going to believe what I saw!"

"An angel?" Maggie asked.

"Who said Jesus had risen from the dead?" Jon finished. Stephanie's happy expression faded for a moment.

"Guess what else I saw..." she said, lowering her voice. The three other kids leaned in a little closer. "I saw Him! Jesus!" she whispered excitedly.

"No. Way." Hannah said, her eyes widening. Stephanie nodded so hard it looked like her head just might fall off of her shoulders.

"He is risen..." Jon breathed. Maggie's mind spun. She wanted to see the angel, the look on the disciple's faces when they heard the news, but most of all...she wanted to see Jesus. Instead, she had been saying no to baklava, whatever that was... She blinked her eyes a few times to hold back the tears she suddenly felt there.

"Are you okay, Maggie?" Hannah asked. Maggie nodded quickly, looking away. The two men were now exiting the tomb and running back to the city from where they had come.

"Should we go back with them?" Jon asked.

"I guess so," Stephanie said in reply. The group began following after the two men, but Maggie lagged behind. She wiped her eyes with the back of her hand and sniffed. Why did she always miss the exciting things?

"Worry not, child," Maggie heard a voice behind her for the second time today and wondered if she was about to be offered more baklava. "You are blessed, because even though you do not see me, you still believe I am here." Maggie's eyes widened and she spun around. No one was there. She glanced down and saw, on the ground, a square of baklava sitting on a small piece of paper. She picked up the two things and put the paper in her pocket, then proceeded to put the baklava in her mouth. As she began tracing the footsteps of her friends, she decided she liked baklava...

And she most certainly liked finding out that He had, indeed, risen from the grave.

MR fanfic (MPOV) Chapter 36

"Max, I'm hungry..." Gazzy said from behind me. We were walking along the sidewalk now, and this was the fourth time he had said that in the past two minutes. I sighed and bit mu tongue. I took a deep breath then spoke in the most loving tone I could muster.

"I know, Gazzy. If you see a place to eat, let me know."

"Um, we just passed a place." Nudge said, jogging a few steps so she was walking next to me. Angel was on the other side of me, holding my hand. We were walking in the downtown area now, which wasn't as busy as where we were when Kalie went all Killer on us.

"Nudge, that place was closed and probably cost more to feed one of us than we have." I said, my patience wearing thinner.

"Then where are we gonna eat?" Gazzy asked--I mean, WHINED. I stopped where I was and looked around. There was a rather normal looking car coming towards us and a few people on the opposite side of the street not paying attention to us. I waited for the car to pass then turned to our large group.

"Okay, as soon as those people get a little bit farther down the street, we're gonna fly over this building and land behind it. There's probably a dumpster back there somewhere with food in it." I said in a low tone to all of them.

"Yeah, like behind that restaurant we passed!" Nudge said, sounding much to excited to eat out of a dumpster.

"Um, I can't fly." Jasmine piped up while raising her hand.

"I'm sure a couple of us can grab you and carry you up and over." I said, positive me and Fang could. I saw her face, though, and it looked a bad color of pale. I guessed she'd never gone dumpster diving for food... Well, there's a first time for everything! I glanced down the street and saw the people were much farther away now, so we were probably safe to fly over the building now. I opened my wings and grabbed one of Jazz's arms.

"We're gonna take a running start, okay?" I said to Jazz. Iggy came forward and took Jazz's other arm. I thought that was a little odd but was a little bit happier that he was more willing to help her than Fang was. Jazz nodded and we began an slight jog across the street. Iggy and I began to flap our wings in unison so we wouldn't whap each other. In a matter of moments we were up in the air and the rest of the group was following after us. Jazz was as tense as could be, but I could understand that. I mean, if I were in her position I'd probably be freaking out that I was going to be dropped. But that was just me.

We were over the building and on the other side if it in no time flat, which was good. I didn't want us to take forever. We landed and I'm sure if we would have landed some place grassy, Jazz would have hugged the ground. But the earth back here was filthy and covered in who knows (or really wants to know) what, so it was probably best that she didn't.

"Dumpster over there!" Nudge called, pointing back the way we we had come from. We were in a small alley that was just big enough for a garbage truck to drive down. On either side of us were the backs of buildings. We walked down to the dumpster and began rummaging for food that still looked and smelled like food.

Let me let you in on a little secret. Gazzy gives a whole new meaning to dumpster diving. Most people don't actually dive into the dumpster, but he does. Sometimes he goes head first, other times he does a cannonball. Today was a headfirst day. Jazz stood a few feet away from the rest of the group and watched with a look that was a mix of horror and wonder.

"Hey, I found half of a cake!" Gazzy called from in the dumpster.

"Oh! What kind?" Thing 1 asked excitedly.

"Chocolate...I think..." Gazzy replied as he emerged. He held up a cake that was mostly intact and held it out for everyone.

"Want some, Jazzy?" I asked her. She shook her head, looking a little less pale and a little more green.

"No thanks. I had a big dinner." she said softly. She, of course, was lying. I mean, that dinner may have been big for her, but I would still have been starving after it...

"Your choice." I said with a shrug. I took a bite of the cake then quickly spit it out. "Okay, no cake. There is somethin' funky in there..." I said. Gazzy frowned and let the cake fall to the ground and splatter all over. Maybe Jazz's choice was the right one...

MR Fanfic (TPPOV) Chapter twenty-eight

"Nick?" Fang looked up at the nurse standing in front of the group of still-sleeping kids. Fang had tried to fall asleep, but it just hadn't quite worked out. Too many strange noises in this hospital, he decided.

"Yeah?" He asked after a moment. They had used their fake names when they checked brought Iggy in. Well, the Flock had used fake names, and Thing 1 and Thing 2 had used fake names, but Sam and Kalie had used their real names. Iggy was Timothy, Gazzy had picked the name Alexander for himself, Angel chose Melanie, and Nudge had, of course, chose Krystal.

"Timothy made it through surgery all right and appears to be doing fine. He lost quite a bit of blood, though, and we were wondering if one of you might like to give him blood, since you said you're all related." She gave Fang a meaningful look that meant the doctors had run Iggy's blood to see what type it was so they could give him some and had found out it wasn't any regular type at all.

"Yeah, I'll give him some blood." Fang stretched and closed the laptop then stood up. He put the laptop down on the small couch where he was sitting and stepped over the sleeping people on the floor. He looked at Sam, who was awake, and nodded. Sam nodded in reply and Fang walked away with the nurse. They went through a couple big doors and down a hallway, then entered into a small room. Iggy was laying on a hospital bed with all sorts of things connected to him. Fang's heart started to beat harder. Iggy was wearing a hospital gown. That meant that these people had changed his clothes. That meant they had seen his wings. Fang swallowed hard and looked at the nurse. He was the same height as her, and she was wearing heels, so he looked right in her eyes.

"If you'll have a seat, I'll draw some blood so we can give it to your frien- er, brother." She winked at Fang and he sat down.

"Who all saw his wings?" Fang suddenly asked.

"Only me and the people who performed the surgery. Your secret - whatever it is - is safe with us." She said, giving him a reassuring smile. Fang still wasn't totally believing her, and he looked straight at Iggy's paler-than-normal face as she began drawing his blood. Fang didn't know how much she got out of his body, but when she was done, he was feeling a little light-headed. She handed him a small glass of orange juice and he drank it without taking his eyes off of Iggy.

"Is he going to be all right?" Fang asked when he was finished with the orange juice.

"He should be, but we're going to have to keep monitoring him. With his amount of blood loss, he could go into shock, so the next twenty-four hours will be critical." The nurse replied. Fang frowned.

"Twenty-four hours? You mean we have to stay here another day?" He asked, trying not to sound too surprised. The nurse nodded and Fang scowled.

"Do you and your family want some breakfast?" The nurse asked. Fang looked up at her and nodded. "Well, then, you take this and get what you need." The nurse handed Fang a little card and smiled. "We figured that since you wouldn't tell us who your parents were, you were orphans of some kind, and you all looked pretty worn out and hungry when you came in, so some of us pitched in some money to get you this card. It'll pay for some meals here, depending upon how much food you get at each one." Fang looked at the card. It looked just like a plastic credit card with the name of the hospital on it. Fang turned the card over in his fingers, trying to process all of this. Was this a trap? Why was this lady being so nice to him? What was going on here? Fang swallowed and finally spoke again.

"Thanks." He said quickly. He stood up and the nurse rubbed his shoulder.

"You're welcome." She said softly. She looked like she meant it, but Fang knew that even if someone looked innocent, that didn't mean they were.

HP, Chapter 12

Albus woke up in the chair he had fallen asleep in. He hadn't felt tired at all... He had just...fallen asleep. He stretched then looked around. There was no one else in the Common room, and the fire was out. Albus glanced down at his watch and noted it was time for breakfast, which was probably why no one was in the Common room... Albus got up slowly. He wasn't in any hurry. He knew that by going through the day like nothing was wrong would be a lie... But he knew he had to.

Albus entered the Great Hall and sighed. Only two people were missing from the teacher's table. Hagrid and Professor Longbottom. Albus slumped over to the Griffindor table and slid into the seat next to James.

"Hey, little brother." James said, smiling at him. Albus nodded and took a waffle off a nearby plate and plopped it onto his own. "How'd you sleep?" James asked, trying to start up a conversation. Albus merely shrugged again while poking at his waffle.

"Hey, Albus!" Albus swallowed hard and turned in his seat to see pale little Scorpio Malfoy standing behind him, wearing a small smile.

"Oh, hello, Scorpio..." Albus said slowly while looking away.

"Um, where's Andrea?" Scorpio asked, looking around the Griffindor table. Albus reviewed the story in his head before answering.

"She tripped on a root that she didn't see and scratched herself up REALLY badly. She's in the hospital wing right now, but there's a curtain around her bed because her face is all scratched up and she's kinda embarrassed about how it looks, so you probably shouldn't go see her."

"I don't care how she looks, I just want to talk to her." Scorpio replied. Albus couldn't tell if Scorpio bought the story or not.

"Well, she's not in the best shape for talking if you ask me." James interjected. "Right, Sam?"

Samantha stopped chewing her bacon and glared at him.

"Right..." Albus said, looking slowly away from Samantha.

"Why isn't she in the best shape for talking?" Asked Scorpio. He evidently hadn't bought the story, Albus decided. Albus opened his mouth to reply when the owls all flew in, soaring over the heads of the students.

"Look! Mum and dad must have sent us a letter, Derek!" Holly cried, looking up. A auburn colored owl swooped down and dropped a letter and a small package in between Holly and Derek. Holly picked them up gingerly and handed the letter to Derek. It had his name on it. The package had Holly's name on it. Albus turned to watch as Holly opened the package. Anything to use as an excuse to look away from Scorpio was good for him.

"Oh!" Holly exclaimed, an excited smile appearing on her face. She pulled out a piece of thin rope that was tied at the back to make it a circle. Holly put it around her neck and looked at the small medallion hanging off of it.

"That's a pretty cool necklace, Holly. Did your mom or dad get it?" Asked Samantha with a smile. Holly pulled a small note out of the box the necklace was in and read it.

"It's from mum." She said softly. "Says it's a charm to keep the nargles away." Holly smiled and fingered the charm fondly. "I've been wanting one for ages."

Derek shook his head while all of the others stared at her like she was insane.

"I'll see you later, Albus." Scorpio said softly as he turned and walked away. Albus sighed and James thumped him on the back.

"Good job, Albus! That just about sounded like a true story!" James said more loudly than Albus would have liked.

"Yeah, brilliant job of LYING." Samantha said, glaring in Albus's direction.

"I don't feel good about it, all right?" Albus said glumly, looking down at his food. He had suddenly lost the little bit of appetite he had left...

HP, chapter 11, continued

Albus ate all of the roll and a few bites of the green beans and noodles on the plate. Nothing really tasted good to him, though. He sighed and leaned his head back on the chair as Holly sat down in a chair near his. Albus closed his eyes and heard the Common room door open and a few sets of footsteps walk in. Albus opened one eye and saw James at his side.

"You feeling any better?" James asked softly. Albus shrugged as he looked forward again.

"It's not your fault, Albus..." Derek said softly. Albus closed his eyes again and shook his head.

"I don't want to talk about it." He mumbled. Just then, the Common room door flung open and someone ran in. Albus heard someone breathing heavily over his shoulder and he opened his eyes and looked up. It was Percy.

"Hello, you lot." He said, forcing a smile. He was still panting and leaning on the back of Albus's chair. Percy cleared his throat then continued. "Listen, Professor McGonagal doesn't really want word spreading about... Well... Andrea." He said slowly.

"I know." Samantha said quickly. Percy gave her a confused look then continued.

"She wants us to come up with a story that sounds believable but-"

"Isn't the truth. In essence, you want us to lie to the student body. Do you realize you're just digging yourself a deeper grave?!" Samantha asked, clearly angry. "I know she doesn't want the parents to find out, I can understand that! People would think she wasn't right for the job anymore, but I will NOT lie to my fellow students. I'm not gonna sink to that level." Samantha was almost yelling, and Percy was looking around frantically to make sure no one was listening. There were a few other people in the Common room, and a couple of them were staring. Percy glared at Samantha and clamped his hand over her mouth. She glared back at him, looking almost evil.

"Listen, I've come up with an idea. All you have to do is tell it to whoever asks about Andrea. You lot are her main group of friends, so I suspect there won't be many questions. Now, just listen and tell me if it's believable." Percy paused to clear his throat then continued.

"Andrea tripped on a raised root while in the forest. She scratched herself up pretty badly, so she got taken to the hospital wing. She's still in pretty bad condition, so there's a curtain hanging around her bed. She'd prefer not to have visitors, because she scratched up her face badly and is a bit embarrassed about the whole thing." Percy sighed then forced another smile. "Make it sound believable, all right? Add in your own phrasing, but don't change stories." Percy gave them all a warning look then released his hand from Samantha's mouth.

"You're so lucky I didn't grow fangs and bite you." She growled angrily. Percy faked a laugh, and Derek, James, and Peter chuckled. Albus sighed and stared ahead glumly. Percy bent down next to him and looked at him sympathetically.

"I'm sorry you have to do this, Albus..." Percy began in a whisper. "But, please, do it for the school, all right? And for the safety of the students. I mean, if they know what really happened, some of them might go out into the forest to find her themselves. They could be seriously hurt. I just need you to do this. Please?" Percy finished and patted Albus on the shoulder, then stood and looked over the others. He nodded to them all then quickly walked out of the room.

"You know what this is?" Samantha asked, glaring at the now closed Common room door.

"What?" Derek asked, glancing over at her.

"Hogwash."

HP, Chapter 11

Albus stared out the window sadly. He saw the Forbidden Forest and wondered where Andrea was in it. He wondered if she was still alive. "Aren't you hungry?" Someone asked from behind. It was a high voice, and soft, so Albus knew right away that it was Holly. Albus shook his head and sighed. A plate of food slowly floated up beside him and he looked away.

"I'm not hungry, Holly." He said softly. He heard Holly sigh from behind him.

"You didn't even look to see that I was using the levitation spell, did you?" She asked, sounding cross. Albus glanced over his shoulder and realized that there was no hand attached to the plate. Albus raised an eyebrow in surprise then smiled slightly.

"Good job, Holly. You've got the levitation spell down, don't you?" Albus said, still speaking softly.

"Yes, Peter helped me with it. It's quite easy after you know what to do." She said, still from behind Albus. The plate of food began to spin around in the air, then it began to bounce up and down.

"Um, Holly, please stop..." Albus said as he backed into the chair more. The food didn't stop flying all over the place, though.

"You know, Albus, you really need to eat something. And you need to get your mind off of Andrea. It wasn't your fault, and moping about it isn't going to help." Holly said. Evidently she was talking with her hands, as well as her mouth, because the food kept on flying.

"Um, Holly..." Albus's eyes went wide as the plate of food stopped right over his head.

"Yes, Albus?" Holly asked from behind.

"Will you please stop flinging the plate around?"

"Oh, sorry..." The plate came to a stop on Albus's lap and he breathed a sigh of relief. Holly walked around the chair and stood next to Albus. "Are you going to eat any of it?" She asked softly. Albus shook his head.

"Not now..."

"Oh, okay." Holly looked down at her shoes then back up at Albus. She looked sad, and Albus figured that was because of him. He sighed and picked up a roll that was on the plate and took a bite out of it. Holly smiled triumphantly.

"There, happy?" Albus asked through a mouthful of roll. Holly nodded and giggled in reply.

MR Fanfic (MPOV) Chapter twenty-five

After dinner (which was fabulous, by the way) we went out to the living room and watched a movie. Jessie sat in her chair, Jazz and I sat on the couch, and Chad and Marie sat on a smaller couch next to ours. The movie we watched was Kung Fu Panda, and I laughed my fool head off. Seriously. Jazz did as well. Okay, so we all did. I wasn't done being tense, but I did enjoy the movie. We got to eat popcorn while watching the movie, too, so it was all good with me. Except that I needed to find my Flock...

After the movie, we talked for a while. "So, where are Fang, Iggy, Nudge, Gassman and Angel?" Jessie asked from across the room. I sighed and looked at the popcorn kernels in my bowl.

"I don't know. We split up for like, five seconds in a mall, and they took off with her." I pointed at Jazz with my thumb as I spoke. "So I had to go on a hunt for them, then I found them, and some other birdkids, then right after I met up with them we had to fight a group of M-Geeks, then we started driving and then we stopped at a restaurant then I got kidnapped then she got kidnapped and it's all a big mess that I call 'My life'." I finished and breathed deeply. I glanced over at Jazz, who was looking at me with an expression that was saying something sarcastic. I didn't look at her long enough to find out what the sarcastic comment was, though.

"Wow..." Marie said softly. She was looking at me with caring blue eyes. I nodded and sighed. "Do you need a place to stay?" She suddenly asked. She looked at Chad quickly and he shrugged, then she looked back to me.

"Uh, well, yeah..." I said slowly.

"I think the correct answer is 'Yes, please'." Jazz said with a smile. I rolled my eyes and shook my head at her. "You don't have to be so reluctant to accept help." She muttered, resting her head on the arm of the couch. I sighed then looked back at Marie.

"Yes, please." I said with a small smile. Marie smiled at me then stood up.

"We'll, we don't have a guest room, but we do have a living room and Jessie's room. You can take your pick." Marie said, looking between me and Jazz. I glanced over at Jazz to see if she had any opinion, but her eyes were closed and she looked like she was sleeping.

"Um..." I said slowly, taking into account everything. The living room was right near the door, but had no windows in it. Jessie's room was down the hallway and probably had one small window, probably not big enough to crawl through quickly. I pondered this for a minute then answered.

"The living room is fine." I said with a smile.

"All right, then I'll go grab a couple more blankets and some more pillows." Marie said, walking off.

"You took the living room because it had more escape exits, didn't you?" Jessie asked. I nodded sheepishly.

"Don't worry, Max, we're not gonna hurt you." Chad said with a chuckle.

It's not you guys I'm worried about... I thought, taking into account their sizes. Unless they were Erasers, I could beat 'em all easily. But the Erasers weren't around anymore, so I wasn't that concerned about that. Suddenly, my brain reeled.

"JAZZ!" I screamed, shaking her awake. Chad and Jessie both jumped at my exclamation. Jazz opened her eyes and looked around, slightly panicked.

"What?" She asked, sitting up.

"The screen had a wolf on it!" I said quickly.

"Okay...?" She said, shaking her head. I sighed and groaned at the same time.

"They're making a new batch of Erasers!!" I exclaimed. Jazz's expression went something like mine would go if I heard that news.

"Maybe they were just trying to make a new type of wolf or studying a new type of wolf or something..." She said, looking worried. I shook my head.

"I doubt it."

"But, Erasers means Itex."

"And you beat Itex in the third book." Jessie pointed out. Jazz and I both turned to look at her. "I kinda thought that the storyline went downward after that. And the fourth book was so short... I mean, Itex was the best badguys as far as the story goes." I stared at Jessie in disbelief as she spoke.

"Well, I'm sorry my life has a bad storyline." I said snidely. Jessie looked taken aback. Jazz poked me hard in the arm. "Ow!" I said, rubbing my arm while glaring at her.

"Be nice. She didn't think you were real. And for a great deal of the time I was reading the series, I didn't either." Jazz said quietly. I slumped down into my chair and glared at Jazz. She was right...

"Do you ladies want something pajama-like?" Chad asked, standing up and stretching.

"Uh, sure, I guess..." I said slowly, looking at Jazz.

"I have some extra pajamas you could borrow! I bet they'd fit!" Jessie said, jumping up. "Do either of you like bright colors?" She asked quickly.

"What ever you have is fine with me. As long as it's decent, I mean." Jazz said with a smile. I nodded in agreement with her.

"Okay, I'll be right back!" Jessie said, then she ran off through the kitchen and down the hall. Marie walked back into the room with some blankets in her arms and a couple pillows on top of them.

"Here you ladies go!" She said, setting the pillows on the other couch. I stood up and smiled at Marie, and Jazz slowly followed my example.

"Thank you." We both said simultaneously. I looked at Jazz, slightly freaked out. We sounded exactly the same... Marie giggled and Chad chuckled.

"Are you girls sure you're not twins?" He asked, stretching.

"I have no idea if we have any relation." I replied softly. I looked over at Jazz and she shrugged.

"Okay, I have a couple options!" Jessie said, running back in. She was holding a few shirts and pants in her arms. She held up a shirt and a pair of pants as she spoke. "Option one, any takers?" She asked, looking between me and Jazz. It was a pink long-sleeved shirt that was made of fleece, and the pants had lots of different bright colors. The pants were also made of fleece.

"Uh..." Jazz said slowly. I wasn't gonna wear that pink in a million years.

"Okay, option two then." Jessie said, holding up another pajama option. It was a green t-shirt with Mickey Mouse on it and black flannel pants with Mickey Mouse all over them.

"Dibs!" I yelled, reaching out for the pajamas. Jessie handed them too me then held up the last option for Jazz to see. The last option consisted of a dark purple t-shirt with three light blue stars in the middle of it. The pants were also dark purple and had little blue stars all over them.

"Works for me." Jazz said, taking the pajamas from Jessie. Jessie smiled and began to bounce up and down.

"Okay, who wants to use the bathroom first? I would suggest you get in there before Dad because he takes for-EH-ver." Jessie whispered the last part and Jazz giggled.

"I heard that." Chad said, faking sadness.

"I'll go get ready first if that's all right with you peoples. I'm beat..." Jazz said, yawning. I nodded and Jazz walked off to the bathroom. I followed her a minute later, just to secure the fact that I was going in next. I stood outside the bathroom door and looked at the Mickey Mouse on the t-shirt in my arms. Suddenly, I heard singing. It was some of the most lovely singing I had ever heard...and it was coming from the bathroom.

"Were you singing in there?" I asked Jazz as she came out, all star-ey-fied.

"Yeah..." She replied slowly, looking at me suspiciously.

"It's kinda funny, because you sing really well, but I don't, and we have the exact same voice." I said dryly.

"I bet if you sang more you'd sound better." Jazz said, walking past me. I snorted as I walked into the bathroom.

"Doubt it." I muttered as I closed the bathroom door.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

I settled down on the longer of the two couches and sighed. Jazz was on the other couch, and it sounded like she was already asleep. Jessie came out and stood next to the couch for a minute, just looking at me.

"What?" I asked, trying not to sound annoyed. She shrugged.

"I dunno. I just wanted to say goodnight, I guess..." She said softly. I nodded then began thinking about my Flock... How we did the fist stack before we went to bed... Suddenly, I sat bolt upright.

"Do you have a computer or a laptop or something?" I asked Jessie urgently. She nodded. "Can I use it?" I asked. She nodded again. I stood up and let Jessie lead me down the hallway to the room at the end of it. It looked like a little office. I saw the computer sitting on a desk and ran over to it. I turned it on and waited for it to boot up. It felt like it took forever. After it was all booted up, I brought up the Internet and went to Fang's blog.

"What are you doing?" Jessie asked, looking over my shoulder.

"Leaving a message for Fang." I said. I left a comment on his blog then sent him a private message, asking him where he was. And, just for the fun of it, I put in the secret word, so he would know it was really me. I sighed after I sent the message off and hoped beyond hope Fang would read his messages. I turned off the computer then stood up and stretched.

"Thanks, Jessie. For... Everything." I said softly. She smiled at me and seemed to glow with happiness.

"You're welcome." She said. We walked out of the room and back to the living room. I crawled back onto the couch and covered up with the blankets. Jessie turned off the light, but I didn't fall asleep right away...

God, if you're really up there... Could you please remind Fang to look at his messages? And could you please keep the Flock safe? I prayed silently. I didn't know if God would answer or what, but I figured praying didn't hurt anyone. I sighed and rolled onto my side.

"Goodnight, Jazz." I whispered.

"Goodnight, Maximum Ride."

Independence Day

The boom of the fireworks,
The colors in the sky.
The smell of hotdogs on a grill,
And the wonder of a wondering sigh.

Independence allows us to celebrate
What we have every day.
The freedom to be who we want to be,
And the ability to say what we want to say.

So on this day I remember
Our men and women in arms.
The ones who fought for us then,
And the ones who fight for us now.

So lift up your voices, let freedom ring!
Remember how their blood was shed,
For you and for me, for our country.
And thank them, with a bow of the head.

MR Fanfic (MPOV) Chapter twenty-four

"By the way, my name's Chad Marshall. You can call me Chad if you want." The man said as we drove along.

"I'm Jasmine." Jasmine introduced herself. I didn't really need to introduce myself since he already knew who I was...

Chad drove for about half an hour, then pulled into a driveway. "This is my home." He said as he pulled up to the house. It was a small house, nothing special. Well, not to one of you regular people. But to me, any house was special. It was just a rectangular house and not very tall. The yard was nice, though, with a few trees and a bird feeder in the middle. There was a path of stones that led to the porch, and the path was lined with short lights that shone upward.

"You sure this is a good idea?" Jasmine whispered to me as Chad got out of the car.

"No, but I don't have a better one." I replied as I opened the door and stepped out of the car. Jasmine got out after me and Chad led us down the path to the porch. A light turned on above the porch and a girl ran out and gave Chad a hug.

"Yes! You're home! Now we can pop some popcorn and have movie night!" She said excitedly.

"Well, um... There might actually be a slight change of plans..." Chad replied softly. The girl's shoulder's dropped. Chad moved out of the way and she saw us. She looked up at her dad, confused, then back at us.

"You brought home twins?" She asked her dad.

"Jessie, this is Jasmine and Maximum Ride." Chad said, patting Jesse on the back.

"What?" She asked, looking up at him.

"These two girls stopped me on the road on the way home, and this one said she was Maximum Ride. Like from those books you read. Then she showed me her wings and I believed her, then brought the two home with me." Chad smiled as he finished speaking. Jessie stared at us with her mouth gaping open.

"Prove it." She said suddenly. I sighed and rolled my eyes then looked at Jasmine.

"Do I really have to do this?" I asked rhetorically. She nodded. I slowly let out my wings and watched Jessie's eyes widen.

"Wow... You really are Maximum Ride... HOLY COW!!!" Jessie screamed the last part and Jasmine and I both flinched. "I am, like, such a huge fan! Like, seriously! I have all of your books, and the manga, and I totally want to be Max in the movie, but... Now that I've met you I can see I look nothing like you. THIS IS SO COOL!" Jessie giggled like a true fangirl and I smiled. "Come on! You gotta get inside! You can have some leftovers from dinner, and watch a movie with us, and eat popcorn, this is gonna be so fun!!" Jessie said as she pounded up the path, up the porch steps, and into the house. Chad chuckled and motioned for us to follow Jessie. We did so...slightly reluctantly, though...

"She gets excited sometimes." Chad said as we reached the porch. I realized there was a woman standing there, smiling at us. "Oh, girls, this is my wife, Marie." Chad introduced her and she shook my hand.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Maximum Ride. I've also read the books. I wanted to see what my daughter loved about them, and I found out." Marie said with a smile. I smiled back, glad that they liked out life story so much.

I walked into the house with Jasmine right by me, and we walked right into the kitchen. There was a counter on the far wall that had the sink in it and a dishwasher stuck in between some cabinets. The stove was at the right end of the counter, and at the left end a fridge, then a wall. The wall had a doorway in it... Without a door. Through that doorway I saw their small living room. On the opposite end of the kitchen was a hallway leading to some other rooms. There was a small table in the middle of the kitchen, and there was a plate of food on the table.

"That's Chad's food, but I could heat up some for you girls if you want." Marie said with a smile. I nodded my head eagerly.

"Yes, PLEASE." Jazz said with a wide smile. Marie walked over to the fridge and pulled out a glass pan thingy and set it on the counter next to the microwave. She pulled two plates out of one of the cabinets and began to pile food on them. I guess we looked hungry. She stuck one of the plates in the microwave and it began to heat up. Jessie came back into the room from the hallway holding a few blankets.

"These are my movie watching blankets. Usually I only use one, but since you guys are here, I figure you can use some too!" She said, shoving a blanket into my arms.

"Uh... Thanks..." I said, looking down at the blankets. Jessie smiled and put a blanket in Jazz's arms then walked into the living room. She motioned for us to follow her and we did.

"You can pick any chair you want. Except this one. This is-" Jessie began, but Jazz cut her off.

"Wait, let me guess... You're movie watching chair?" Jazz said with a smile. Jessie nodded. She looked between me and Jazz and her brow furrowed.

"So, you're Max, and is she like, your twin? Is she gonna be in the next book?" Jessie asked eagerly. Jazz and I looked at each other, then Jazz looked down at the blanket in her arms.

"Well, uh, I don't know why she looks like me. I mean, she has a mom that isn't my mom, so I don't know how it is that we look identical..." I said slowly. "She'll probably be in the next book, though, since it's like, our life story and this is happening in real life..." I continued. "At least, I hope this is real life." I said with a chuckle.

"I hope it's real life too, because this is just too awesome!" Jessie said as she put her blanket down on her chair. Jazz and I both tossed our blankets onto the couch.

"Who wants shepherd's pie?" I heard Marie call from the kitchen.

"ME!!" I yelled, running out to the kitchen. I was starving, after all. Jazz ran behind me, and I stopped so suddenly she plowed right into me. I almost fell over, but I caught my balance before I did a face plant on the floor. I sat down on the chair opposite of Chad, who was already seated, and Jazz sat to my left. Marie put a plate of food in front of me, and a plate in front of Jazz. Marie then handed us both a fork and I started to dig in. I glanced up at Chad and saw he was looking at Marie, almost nervously. I glanced up at her and she shrugged. Chad cleared his throat and I swallowed.

"What?" I asked warily.

"Well, it's just that, before we eat... We, uh, pray." Chad said slowly. I let out a sigh. They had me freaked out for a minute there.

"Okay, well, pray." I said with a shrug. Jessie came over to the table and took her dad's hand, and Marie took his other hand. To my surprise, Jazz slipped her hand into Marie's then held her hand out to me. I shrugged and went with it. I took Jazz's hand then took Jessie's hand with my other hand. Chad bowed his head and prayed. I will tell you this... It was a wonderful prayer. It actually got me wondering if God really was there... It sure felt like He was...

MR Fanfic (TPPOV) Chapter twenty

Fang and Gazzy walked into the cafeteria, and Fang could hear Gazzy's stomach growl. Fang glanced down at Gazzy, and Gazzy blushed. Fang smiled quickly then led Gazzy over to a long counter with food all behind it. Fang grabbed a tray and Gazzy followed his lead. They began making their way along the line, getting as much food as they could fit on their trays. When they got to the end of the counter, they came to a line of people waiting to pay.

"Oh..." Fang said quietly. He had forgotten about having to pay for all of this...

"I have some change in my pockets that I've found on the ground and stuff..." Gazzy said, glancing up at Fang. Gazzy always seemed to know what was going on. He couldn't read minds, but he always knew what you were thinking anyways. Fang cast a small smile at him then looked back to the line.

"I might have to go see if the others have any cash on them..." Fang said quietly. They kept taking baby-steps forward until they got to the front of the line. When they did, the guy at the counter looked at them like they were crazy.

"Do you have enough money for all of that?" He asked, raising an eyebrow.

"We'll see." Fang said, setting his tray on the counter. Fang began digging in his pockets and Gazzy followed his example.

"I think your total comes to..." The guy stopped and stared at the small screen with the price on it. The total came to roughly $100. Fang swallowed hard and glanced down at Gazzy.

"Can you run back and see if any of the others have some money on them, Gazzy?" Fang whispered. Gazzy nodded and dashed off to where the others were. Fang sighed and glanced up at the guy.

"How many people are you feeding?" He asked Fang while glancing down at his tray.

"A few." Fang replied shortly. He wasn't in the mood to talk with this kid. The only kid he was really in the mood to talk to was Gazzy...or Iggy...or Max. He missed Max. He hoped she was okay.

After a few minutes, Gazzy came back, panting. He handed Fang a wad of money and and looked over at the guy behind the counter. "Hopefully that's enough." Gazzy said. "If not," he reached into his pockets and pulled out some change, "here's some more. Not much more, but some more." Gazzy said, smiling. Fang handed the money to the kid behind the counter and the guy began counting it.

"Lucky you," he began after he finished counting the money. "You have just enough here." The kid stuck the money into the cash drawer then smiled at Fang. "Enjoy your meal...s..." He added the "s" as an after thought. Fang nodded then picked up his tray and Gazzy followed suite. Then, they walked back to the others.

More pictures!

These are my dolls! This was at a mother/daughter tea party we had at our church. Mom and I decorated, and this was part of the decorations! Aren't they cute? Having their own little tea party!
Here they are with the flowers and food on their little plates...

Mmmmmmm...this was the food for the actual people. These were the "cold" trays that we had. We also had trays with hot food on them. Man, that was good...
And THESE are the desserts. These were better than the real food. Mom made the little things with the strawberries on them. And the yellow lemon squares. *starts drooling* I wish we had brought more food home... Oh, and I helped plate the food. :D Looks purty purty, don't it?
Oh yeah, we had a LOT of food. There were a lot of people there. People from two churches! *sigh* good times...
NO, I DID NOT DRAW THIS. I merely colored it. :) Angel wanted someone to color it for her, so I used my colored pencils and did it. :D It was fun to do, but the camera kinda takes out some of the cool shading I did...
I don't know if she's Faith, Hope, or Peace...

Okay, here's the full story. The other day, me, Cody, and my baby brother (he will now be named Guy, just because I'm sick of writing "baby brother") went to our grandparents house. Cody and grandpa started cleaning up around the outside of the house while me, grandma, and Guy took a walk out to take the trash/composteystuff/whatever out to where it was supposed to go. When we got back to where the other boys were, we went over and started talking to them. We talked for a little then grandpa said, "[Cody's real name here] is a home wrecker!""Did you get a wasps nest?" Grandma asked."Nope." Grandpa said."Bees?" "Nope." "It wasn't hornets?" "Nope." "...was it a nest?" Grandma asked a little quieter. If it had been bees or hornets or wasps, I wouldn't have felt so bad...but a bird's nest...? "Yep. You know that piece of metal we found that had come off of the side of the house? Well, we found where it came from, and a bird had gone in there a built a nest. I went and pulled it out-it was a pretty good nest, in a really good spot, really warm in there-and there were three eggs in it." Grandpa explained. By this time, grandma and I were all ears, but Guy was still goofing off and just talking up a storm. We weren't paying much attention to what he was saying, though."I kept pulling brush out of there, and a forth egg rolled right out! I didn't realize it was there, and it hit the ground and broke." Grandpa continued, and I felt a little bit of a pain for the mama bird. I mean, it's just sad...isn't it?"Where are the other eggs?" Grandma asked."In the barn," Grandpa replied."Well, get out the incubator!" Grandma said this a couple times with much determination. Grandpa shook his head."Was it ours?" He asked rhetorically. Grandma sighed."No, it was the schools..." My spirits dropped again. What was gonna happen to those little eggs?"How far along were they?" Grandma asked to grandpa and Cody."Now sure...did you see anything in that egg that fell?" Grandpa asked Cody."I think a little bit..." Cody replied uncertainly. The conversation kept going with us trying to figure out what to do with the eggs."Can we go look at them?" I asked finally."Yep, they're right in on the counter in there." Grandpa said with a nod of his head. We all got up and went into the barn, which was a short walk away from where we had been sitting. Cody and I went in and walked right over to the eggs, which were a light turquoise and oblong in shape. There were three there. I picked them up and looked at them. They had cooled down a bit, it felt like... We looked at the eggs and noticed one had a small dent in it. When we showed it to grandma, she knew it wouldn't grow into a bird at all. I wrapped the eggs up in a light blue washcloth that grandpa handed to me and I put them in my hands. I tried to keep them as warm as I could, and me-the frozen handed girl- actually got those eggs pretty warm! When grandma did see the dented egg and told us it wouldn't survive at all because it's space had been invaded, she opened it up and looked inside. Sure enough, there was actually a little white dot in there. The beginning of a baby bird. When we came home, we had the eggs. There was a nest nearby where we do our schoolwork and where mom works. We compared the eggs to those that we knew were robin's eggs for a fact, and our eggs were bigger and a different shade of blue. But after doing some research, we found that they were still robin eggs. We kept the eggs at our house over night, wrapped in a washcloth and a towel and put under the small lamp in my room. Then, this morning, we took them to the other nest. Mama Robin hasn't seemed to mind them, but I just hope that the two little eggs will grow up to be little birds.
And then...about a week later...
UPDATE: Okay, guys. Here's the update: Today I went to check on the nest because I looked out the window and saw a little bit of blue and knew she wasn't on it, but when I went out and looked at it, there was only one egg in the nest! The others were on the ground! I saw four of the five that should have been on the ground, but I didn't look for the last one. I think the three original eggs that Mama Robin had were pretty far along, too. I don't know what happened, but the nest was tipped a bit, so we don't know if something tried to get the eggs or if they all fell over or what. Cody and Guy followed me out and Guy heard a bird and said "The bird is crying!" then imitated the noise. And it did sound like crying. It was sooo sad, and I think Mama Bird abandoned the nest...

Well, I hope you enjoyed these pictures from yours truly! :D If not, oh well! :P

Enjoy!! :D

MR Fanfic (MPOV) Chapter thirteen

I flew in a pack of M-Geeks, following the first ones and making sure I didn't get too close to the ones in the back. As we flew, I thought about my Flock. I really hoped they would be okay without me and formulate a plan or something... I had a plan working in my head to get out of whatever place I was put in, but I hoped both of the groups would be okay... Well, this makes it much harder to get Jasmine back to her mom... I thought with a sigh. I glanced over my shoulder at the M-Geek directly behind me and he pointed his gun at me. "I'm flyin', I'm flyin'..." I mumbled as I looked forward again. I really wanted one of them to cry "MUTINY!" and just start taking out other M-Geeks... Unfortunately, that didn't happen.

We flew for hours, and I was starting to get REALLY hungry. I glanced over and saw a bird in the distance...and if it would have been roasted, I probably would have eaten it. "Any of you guys got any food?" I asked rhetorically.

"Negative." The head M-Geek said. I rolled my eyes.

"That was a rhetorical question." I retorted with a snort.

We continued flying until I was ready to drop out of the sky. And I almost did. But I caught myself before the M-Geeks had to grab me. I didn't want their cold, metal arms to touch me. Ugh. Finally, after flying for FOREVER, we saw a big, white, boring looking building down below us. The M-Geeks went into a full out dive, and I was forced to follow, even though every fiber of my being was screaming at me to turn around. But I knew that if I did turn around, I'd be Swiss cheese in about 3.2 seconds. Not a good idea.

We landed on the ground and two M-Geeks grabbed my arms while one led the way and the others pointed their arm-mounted guns at my back. I sighed as I was led through the automatic doors and into a hallway.

"We've captured the mutant 'Max-HIH-mum Ride." The head M-Geek yelled. I winced as he pronounced my name wrong yet again. A man walked up, one I hadn't seen before, but he was wearing a whitecoat, so I knew he wasn't a good guy.

"Excellent!" He said, rubbing his hands together. He looked like he was going to drool. It was rather disgusting. "The boss is gonna be so happy!" He said as he led the M-Geeks and me down another hallway.

"So, who is 'the boss' anyways?" I asked as I was led into a large, white-walled, boring room.

"That's information you don't need to know." The whitecoat said coldly. I rolled my eyes. The whitecoat turned around and eyed me eagerly.

"You'll be staying in here until we're notified to move you. If you behave, we might even get you a bed." The whitecoat said with an evil smile. I glared at him.

"Then I won't count on getting a bed." I growled. The whitecoat looked taken a bit off guard, and that made me feel better. He turned and walked out, and the M-Geeks followed him. The door closed and I heard a couple M-Geeks stay behind to guard the door.

I looked around the room and sighed. There was absolutely NOTHING in there. Not even a spot on the wall to stare at. I sat down against one of the walls and began perfecting my plan...

MR Fanfic (MPOV) Chapter twelve

"Okay, everybody up!" I said as I pulled into the McDonalds parking lot. I heard people waking up and I undid my seat belt. "I said, EVERYBODY UP!" I yelled as I turned around to look in the back. Gazzy was rubbing his eyes, Iggy was stretching, and Kalie was gradually waking up.

"You don't have to yell..." Iggy mumbled. I smiled then looked into the very back of the van. Thing 1 was pushing Thing 2 off of her and onto Fang.

"Stop pushing!" Thing 2 whined with her eyes still closed. Fang opened his eyes and looked up at me, then he looked out the windows. I glanced over at Sam and Nudge and gave Nudge a little...nudge.

"Rise and shine, guys!" I said as I opened the door. It was a rather chilly morning, up North.

"Max, close the door!" I heard Angel say. I walked over to her door and opened it, and she practically fell into my arms. Total, who had been on her lap, yelped as he fell out onto the ground.

"Time for breakfast, you guys!" I said as I pulled Angel out. Gazzy came out next, then Iggy, then Kalie, and all the others. Sam and Nudge crawled out of the passenger side door while I ushered everyone else inside. I stood at the door and counted heads, almost losing track of who was who.

We got inside and I walked over to the counter. "Okay, who has money?" I asked as I looked over the breakfast menu. I didn't realize these places opened so early... But by looking at the clock, I realized it was too early... If I was reading it right...

"I've got a little money," Kalie said slowly. She handed me some coins and I began counting them. I heard a sigh and Jasmine came to the front of the group.

"Outta the way, I've got money for ya." She said in a rather bummed-out voice. She pulled out an envelope and looked at the group. "I'll probably be able to pay for...one meal? Two if none of you get greedy." She said with a yawn. I looked down at the envelope. It wasn't that big, so she had better have some big bucks in there...

"Okay, guys, order." I said, moving out of the way for my Flock to order. Gazzy went first, then Iggy, then Nudge, Angel, Fang, then me. After we went, the other group ordered. Starting with Kalie, then Sam, then Thing 1 and Thing 2. Finally, Jasmine rounded out the count. Compared to us, she ordered daintily.

"Are you guys sure you're gonna eat all that?" The guy behind the counter asked. Jasmine nodded.

"They have the metabolism of athletes." Jasmine said shortly. I was getting the vibe that she wasn't a morning person...

After a minute of waiting, we got out food and found a place to sit. We sat in groups: My Flock and the other group with Jasmine. We scarfed down our food in a matter of minutes. I glanced over at the other group and saw that all of them had finished their food pretty quickly too. Jasmine ate a little slower, but I guess that's because she wasn't as hungry as us, probably because she didn't have bird DNA in her. I glanced towards the door just in time to see a group of M-Geeks walk in.

"Guys, M-Geeks." I whispered loud enough for the other group to hear. We stood up and I led my group to the door. The other group followed close behind. "Ready, guys?" I asked in a whisper as the M-Geeks' robot eyes scanned our group.

"Max-HIH-mum Ride," half of the M-Geeks said to me. The other M-Geeks said it to Jasmine, who was standing behind Sam and Kalie. "Come with us." They droned on.

"Not until you learn how to say my name right." I retorted, crossing my hands over my chest. They pointed their arms at us, and I realized they had guns this time. Well, there goes plan A... I thought with a sigh. Angel, I'm thinking that I'm gonna have to give up this one. We can't fight guns...I can't risk that for you guys. I sighed as Angel grabbed onto my arms.

"No, Max." She whispered. I set my jaw and looked straight into the eyes of the first M-Geek.

"All right, I'll go. As long as you robo-brains don't hurt my Flock." I said, gesturing to the entire group. The main M-Geek nodded. I felt Fang tense next to me, and I heard the subtle whispers of the group. Angel, tell them why I had to go after we're gone, okay? I thought to her. I hoped she was still taking my messages...

"You too." Another M-Geek said, pointing his gun at Jasmine. She jumped and looked over at me. I clenched my teeth and looked at the M-Geeks.

"Hey, I'm Max, she's not. She stays." I said firmly. The main M-Geek nodded shortly and took my arm. He put his gun to my back as I walked ahead of him. I heard a few silent sobs, and I knew the group was not happy about this... Come to think of it, I wasn't very happy about it either. When will the bad guys learn to fight fair?

MR Fanfic (MPOV) Chapter five

I kept my eyes down on the road, for the most part, while I was flying. Flying is an exhilarating thing, but some of the 'coolness' gets taken away when your on a mission to find someone. Or six someones...seven if you count Total. I was slightly relieved that mystery girl was with the Flock, because that meant I didn't have to go look for her at Itex. Unfortunately, that also meant Itex didn't have her, which made her slightly suspicious. If Itex had had her, then I wouldn't have been suspicious that she was working with them. But since she happens to look identical to me, well, that makes me think of Pseudo Max, which brings lots of bad memories flooding back, which gets me steamed all over again.

Don't worry about her right now, Max. Just worry about finding your Flock. The voice said. I wasn't happy, and he...it...was just making me angrier.

Please go away. I thought in my most mean/sarcastic voice. There was no reply, and that perked my spirits up for about a millisecond. My trail of thought started to wander, and I wondered if my Flock had told the whole story to the salesman. It didn't sound like it, but I didn't really ask for the whole story, so it wouldn't surprise me if they had. It also occurred to me that they had taken a car, which narrowed down my search for them.

She must not have wings, then. I decided. Suddenly, I stopped. I had come to a point where the highway the Flock had supposedly been on branched off into two smaller roads. I sighed and rubbed my forehead. How was I supposed to know which way they had gone?

Go left. The voice said.

Why? I asked.

Trust me. The voice replied. I sighed and figured I didn't have much else to go on, so I went left. I really hoped that decision wouldn't come back to bite me in the bum.

I flew along that road for who knows now long, going straight. The road took me over miles of field, filled with corn and other vegetables. Whenever I came to a crossroad (which wasn't often) the voice told me to keep going straight. Now, I don't trust the voice, but it's not like I could smell my Flock. (Even though they do stink like...well, kids who haven't properly bathed for a month...) Eventually, the sky started to darken, and I started to get tired and hungry. I had no idea where I was, if I was even in the same state we had been in before. All I knew was that I had to find a place to sleep and a place to eat. Then, I saw it. A 24-hour supermarket. I circled in for a landing around back and sighed with a mix of sadness and satisfaction. Sadness because I couldn't keep going to find my Flock, satisfaction because I was going to get fooood...

It's our anniversary!

About, anyways. My tummy ache and I have been together for a whole year! :D *fake happiness* Woo-hoo! It was about this time last year when I got my first tummy ache in this series...or mess...or saga. I call it "Episode 3: Return of the Pain!" :P Last year, between the 21 and the 28, we went to Little Cesar's pizza, and I got my first tummy ache...the beginning of Episode 1...Oh well, at least I'm not moping! I want flowers and get well cards to celebrate, cause if you have a year long tummy ache, you don't get "Get Well Soon!" cards, or flowers. If you have surgery or something like that, you get that stuff. IT'S NOT FAIR! *whines* :P *sigh* Well, I'm off...

Monday, September 15, 2008

Well, that's all, folks...

According to the doctors, I'm crazy. But you all already knew that. :P Seriously though, we've hit a dead end. No more. Nothing else we can do. My stomach ache will forever remain a mystery. They have found nothing medically wrong with me, but I think--no, I KNOW that it's NOT in my head. If it was, I'd have a tummy ache all the time, or whenever I thought about the thing that I was depressed or whatever about. But I get a stomach ache WHEN I EAT and AFTER I EAT. So that wouldn't make sense. That, and I think there's a girl with the same thing I have. I have to get more info before I know for sure, but I'm pretty sure that we have the same thing. *sigh* You know what, you'd think I'd feel worse than that, but I don't. I know that there's a plan for my life, and I know I'm not crazy. I know God's gonna help me. I know He'll help all of you too. Prayin'.

Independence!

"Give me liberty, or give me death!" Freedom rules. Deal with it. But on a more serious note: Freedom's never free. It has to be payed for someway. I guess in some countries, really rich people can use money to pay for their freedom. Here in America, it's a different payment system. People are attacking us, and the men and women that go to war are fighting to protect us and our freedom. The people who go out to protect us rock. Support our troops! And, don't misuse your freedom. We've been given these wonderful freedoms, the freedom of speech, freedom of religion, all that jazz. But some people abuse those freedoms. Don't be one of those people. So now, on this Fourth of July, go out and eat a hot dog, a hamburger, some apple pie, potato salad, whatever you can find that just screams American, and watch fireworks today. You won't regret it. (Unless of course you eat too much and get sick. But don't blame mii. I only suggested it.) So, HAPPY FOURTH OFJULY!!! .*.*.
