I don't know how long I had been flying for, but it felt like too long. I was circling the nearby skies to try to find my Flock. I had circled around the mall a few times and hadn't seen the van, then I had flown over gas stations, restaraunts...all kinda of places. I didn't see my Flock anywhere. People occasionally saw my shadow go overhead, and looked up. Some people waved at me. I didn't wave back. I was on a mission. Well, technically, two. Man, Max, that was a stupid idea... I told myself, thinking about the fact that I had promised that girl's mom that I would find her daughter.
It wasn't stupid, Max. The voice chimed in. I rolled my eyes and glared at nothing. It was the right thing to do, and you know it.
Okay, whatever. I just have to find my Flock, okay? I thought, glancing down at a car dealership. There were a bunch of policemen and salesmen circled around what appeared to be a pile of...robot pieces? I decided to fly in for a landing around back.
I walked around back, looking totally normal, except for my wind-blown hair. One of the salesmen glanced over his shoulder, looked back to the policeman, then back at me. "Hey, what are you doing back here...?" He asked me, looking confused.
"What?" I asked, probably looking equally confused.
"Where's the rest of your clan?" He began walking towards me and all of my muscles automatically tensed.
"What do you mean?" I studied his face hard as I spoke. He looked completely confused, now.
"You were here earlier...but you left with the other kids...and now you're back..." He said slowly.
"Okay, explain!" I said, getting really annoyed.
"Uh, you came in with three boys, two other girls, and I think I saw a little black dog. You told me you were looking for a big, cheap car. While you and I were talking, a car blew up, and evidentally a bunch of other ones got destroyed. When we and the police looked back at the video footage, we saw that it was a bunch of...well...robots. You and your...boyfriend, I'm assuming, explained that you were being chased by these robots, and the reason they blew the car up was becuase they were looking for you..." He stopped, as I began pacing.
"Okay, I'm not the girl that was here earlier, but we are like, twins of some kind." I said quickly.
"Okay..." He said slowly. His confusion was starting to annoy me. And I was already annoyed.
"All I need to know is how they left and which way they went." I said, breathing deeply.
"They left in a van, going that way..." The salesman pointed west, down the road, and I nodded.
"Thanks, I guess." I said, then began running along the road. People have seen me enough with my wings out that taking off infront of people doesn't really bug me too much anymore. Especially if I need to get to my Flock as fast as possible.
I heard some gasps behind me, and even looked at the kids in the car I was taking off next to. There was a little girl in the car, staring at me with her mouth open. It was pretty funny. I waved to her then was up into the sky in an instant of pounding wings and flexing muscles.

MR Fanfic (TPPOV) Chapter 3
"What are we gonna do now?" Nudge asked, leaning forward to look at Jamsmine. Everyone else in the van turned to look at her too.
"What?" Jazz asked, backing into her seat as much as possible.
"Sorry, it's just that we're always used to Max knowing what to do, and you look like Max..." Gazzy began.
"So we thought you'd come up with something quick." Iggy finished. Gazzy nodded.
"But she's not Max, so we need to go back to the mall to get Max!" Angel said, her face sad. Fang was driving again, looking for a place to do a U-turn.
"I don't think so..." Gazzy said. His head was out one of the backseat windows, and he was looking up at the sky.
"Why not?" Fang asked, still looking for a place to turn.
"Because there are a bunch of Robo-brains chasing us. They're flying a little ways behind us." Gazzy said. Jazz glanced out the window, trying to see the robots. She saw them in the form of a black swarm in the distance. She looked forward as Fang growled.
"This is not a good day..." He mumbled.
"No kidding." Jazz agreed. Suddenly, she got an idea. "QUICK! Pull in there!" She yelled, making everyone else jump. She was pointing to a car dealership not too far ahead.
"WHY?" Fang screamed, trying to get into the other lane.
"BECAUSE I SAID SO!" Jasmine yelled back at him. Fang set his jaw and swerved dangerously into the parking lot of the car dealership. Jazz scanned along the rows of cars and saw an open spot in between to cars for sale. "Pull in there!" She said, pointing to the open space. Fang pulled the car in while Jazz continued talking to the others. "Okay, everyone head inside. You guys go into the bathroom, Fang and I will stay out and pretend we're looking for a new car. Okay?" Jazz said, looking at all the other kids. They nodded then jumped out of the car and ran inside.
Inside, it looked like any other car dealership, except that there were a bunch of kids running through the door. One of the salesmen looked over and smiled at them. Nudge and Angel headed for the girl's restroom, with Total hidden beneath Nudge's arms. Gazzy and Iggy made a beeline for the boy's room while Fang and Jazz smiled at the salesman.
"Can I help you with anything?" The salesman asked, approaching them. Fang tensed and glanced out the window-walls while Jasmine began talking to the salesman.
"Hi, we're in need of a new car." Jazz said, looking over the salesman's shoulder. She was watching the robots tear apart van after van, trying to find her and the bird kids. They got to their van. Jazz leaned over to Fang and whispered into his ear. "Why don't you go check on the boys?" Fang walked back to the boy's bathroom and Jasmine turned back to the salesman.
"What kind of car are you interested in?" The salesman asked.
"Something big, but cheap. Lots of people to teleport, but not a lot of cash." Jazz chuckled. "Our old van is really beat up. I mean, it's dented...missing a door..." Jasmine was telling the truth. The M-Geeks had gotten to their van and had ripped off the passenger door, and dented in the sides. One of the M-Geeks pulled up the hood of the van and ripped the engine right out of it. "I'm pretty sure the engine doesn't work, as well." Jasmine said with a smile.
"Wow, sounds like a pretty used and beat up car! How long have you had it?" Asked the salesman, completely oblivious to the fact that the M-Geeks had moved onto the other cars in the parking lot.
"A while...I can't give you an exact amount of time, though." Jasmine smiled then flinched as a boom went off behind the salesman. One of the cars had exploded after a smash in the wrong spot from an M-Geek. Everyone else in the building jumped and turned to see the flaming remains of a vehicle and M-Geeks.
"What was that?!?" The salesman shouted. While everyone was distracted, Jazz dashed off to the girl's bathroom. Nudge, Angel and Total were all standing there, waiting.
"What was that big 'boom'?" Asked Nudge, the second that Jasmine walked through the door.
"A car." Jazz said, beginning to pace.
"Continue..." Nudge said, motioning for Jasmine to keep going.
"An M-Geek blew a car up, therefore blowing up all of the other M-Geeks."
"So, it wasn't Gazzy or Iggy?" Nudge said, just for clarification.
"No, it was not." Jazz answered. Angel was holding Total, watching Jasmine through this entire conversation.
"What are we gonna do now?" She asked innocently. Jazz sighed.
"I'm not sure..." She replied. Nudge sighed then stomped over to Jasmine and raised up the back of her shirt in a matter of seconds.
"Hey!" Jazz screamed, taken completely off guard.
"Nope, definitely not Max. Unless you got the power of making your wings go invisible..." Nudge said, letting Jazz's shirt fall back down her back. Jazz stared at Nudge like she was crazy.
"Come on, let's go talk to Fang and the boys." Jasmine said, leading the girls and Total out.
"What?" Jazz asked, backing into her seat as much as possible.
"Sorry, it's just that we're always used to Max knowing what to do, and you look like Max..." Gazzy began.

Max in my head, now out of my head!
IT'S MAXIMUM RIDE!!! At least, how she is in my head. (kinda...best I could draw, anyways.)
I'm getting better with people!! And the shading on her is actually really cool, if you could actually see it... Anyhoo, I'll probably draw the rest of the flock eventually. Enjoy!

MR Fanfic (TPPOV) Chapter 2
"For the last time, I'm NOT Max! My name is Jasmine!" She said, glaring at the black haired boy driving the car. He swerved around a pick-up truck and everyone else in the car flinched. "Do you even have a driver's license?" She asked, sounding extremely annoyed.
"No, and you know that, MAX." The boy said, concentrating very hard on his driving. Jasmine huffed and rolled her eyes. Suddenly, she got an idea.
"Okay, let's pretend I am this 'Max' person, and let's also pretend that I, Max, have amnesia. WHO ARE ALL YOU PEOPLE?!?" She'd been trying to get them to tell her what was going on, but none of them would tell her anything useful. The black haired boy sighed as Jasmine turned to look at the other kids in the back. The only thing she knew was that she had been grabbed by these kids while she was in the bookstore, told they had to leave, and yanked out into the hall. When they got to one of the crossing-ways for all of the halls, they came upon this group of weird robot things, one of which she had to fight. She'd never been in a fight in her life, and she was pretty sure they had broken something. Her arm hurt like crazy, and she had told that to the black haired kid, but he merely grabbed her other arm and dragged her down the hall, to this car, and told her to sit.
Now, she wanted answers. The little brown girl in the back was the first to speak up. "Okay, well, you're Maximum Ride, the leader of our Flock. He's Fang," she continued, pointing to the black haired kid. "He's your boyfriend. I guess, kinda. You guys kiss and stuff, but not very often."
"Good..." Jasmine said, getting really grossed out. Fang looked at her in disbelief.
"Anyhow, you guys had a fight the other day, which we're assuming is why you're all 'not Max'. I'm Nudge, I talk lots, and I have this cool power where I can make metal come to me. Wanna see?" She asked, but didn't wait for an answer before holding up her hand and making the zipper on Jasmine's hoodie fly towards her.
"Hey!" Jasmine said, grabbing the zipper. Nudge seemed to blush a bit.
"I'm Iggy, your resident blind pyromaniac. I can also feel colors." Iggy smiled and waved in Jasmine's general direction.
"I'm the Gassman! Or Gazzy, for short. I'm Iggy's right hand man with explosives, and my other power is-" Gazzy stopped short as Fang interrupted him.
"If she really does have amnesia, she probably DOESN'T want to remember that incident." He said, putting on the breaks way too fast. Everyone in the van lurched forward.
"I'm Angel, and we're not just weird kids. And we didn't kidnap you. You're supposed to be with us." Jasmine stared at the little blond girl in surprise. "I can read minds, breathe under water - just like you and Fang - and I can change into different things, sorta." Angel finished. She pet the little black dog on her lap.
"I'm Total, you're talking bird-dog." The dog said sleepily. Jasmine stared at them all, her mouth gaping open.
"Whoa, whoa, wait," Jasmine said, holding up her hands. "You guys are the Flock, from the Maximum Ride books..." Everyone else nodded. "And you think I'm Max...but I'm not..." She continued, looking a little dazed.
"You are too, Max." Angel said, her brow creasing.
"No, I'm not. I don't have any wings or anything." Jasmine said, sounding desperate.
"Iggy." Fang said in a tone that meant something, but only to Iggy. Iggy leaned forward and began running his fingers along Jasmine's face.
"Uh oh..." Iggy said quietly.
"What?" Fang snapped.
"This isn't Max." Everyone stared at Iggy in disbelief. "Max has little scars and scratches on her face, and a swollen lip. This girl doesn't have that..."
"Told you so." Jasmine said. Fang growled then punched the horn on the steering wheel.
"No, and you know that, MAX." The boy said, concentrating very hard on his driving. Jasmine huffed and rolled her eyes. Suddenly, she got an idea.

We're at war (preachy post)
With the Devil. This morning in Sunday school, we were talking about how the Devil will give us some big evil to focus on, while he sneaks up from the side and attacks us, knocking us off guard. We also talked about how the Devil masquerades as different people to lead us astray. He'll even disguise himself as a pastor or some religious leader to lead people astray! So, we have to be careful. It's easier for the Devil to sell us something when there's truth intertwined in it, then just to tell us a story that's all lies. If there's truth in it, we're more likely to believe it. So be careful guys, and be sure you know what you believe in is true.

MR Fanfic (MPOV) Chapter one
Okay, I've decided to write a Maximum Ride fanfiction, because I'm in the Max Ride mood. :P So, it'll just be titled "MR" with either "MPOV" (Max's point of view) or "TPPOV" (Third-person point of view) written next to MR. So there ya go. (And, you know, chapter break ups and stuff...) So here it is, CHAPTER ONE!!!
We were in a mall. Yes, a mall. What can I say? They had a food court and books and clothes, and we actually had some cash to spend. (Stolen cash, but cash no less.) We had already eaten, and were now wandering around, looking at stuff, and all the people looking at us. We were a group of grungy looking kids, sucking down slurpies and soda, and walking a teeny black dog who was trying very hard not to start shouting at all the people staring at us. We were a sight to behold. Suddenly, Nudge stopped dead in her tracks and gasped. "What?" I asked, going full alert.
"Look. At. The. SHOES!" Nudge cried, starting to hyperventilate. I rolled my eyes and sighed as Nudge dashed forward to look at the boots she had spied.
"Can we go look too, Max?" Angel asked, referring to herself and Total. I shrugged and nodded, and they both ran after Nudge. I glanced over at Gazzy and saw him whispering to Iggy.
"Max, can we please, please, please, pleeeeaaase go over to the toy store!" Gazzy begged.
"Nuh-uh! I wanna go to the thech store!" Iggy said.
"Toys first, tech later." I said, and the two ran off.
"You really think that's a good idea?" Fang asked quietly. I smiled.
"We're in a mall, Fang. What can go wrong in a mall?" I asked sarcastically, smiling at him. I turned and began walking towards the bookstore. I wanted to see how many of our books they had in stock, see if they needed more. Nothing boosts your spirits more than seeing all of your books sold out. I had just started to look at how many "Final Warning"'s they had when this lady walked up to me and smiled. She had a stroller.
"You ready to go, honey?" She asked innocently.
"Huh?" I asked, totally taken off guard by her. She wasn't my mother, or anyone I recognized, but she was calling me "honey" ...should I be suspicious?
"Are you ready to keep walking? Remember, we need to get you some new jeans and a skirt for Easter." She continued, like I was her daughter.
"Listen, uh, I don't think that I'm who you think I am..." I said slowly, not sure how to break this to her. I mean, what if she was some crazy lady who just randomly claimed grungy looking kids as her own? Her brow creased for a moment, then cleared and she smiled.
"Come on, I know you wanna stay with the books, but we have to go." She said, more serious now.
"But I'm not who you think I am." I said, backing away. She stared at me and opened her mouth to say something when suddenly, I heard an explosion. "Oh no" does not even start to describe what I thought.
I dashed out of the bookstore and looked first towards the toy store and tech store, hoping that the explosion was only Gazzy and Iggy being stupid. I didn't see either of them. The clothes store, bookstore, tech and toy stores were all in the same general area, but I didn't see any or my Flock. I was starting to panic. The lady was standing next to me and she grabbed my sleeve.
"Come on, we're leaving." She said firmly, looking a little freaked out.
"I have to go find my Flock." I said, pulling my arm away from her. I dashed off down the hall towards the entrance we had entered through, and I heard the lady running behind me. I didn't know what to think of her. I mean, she thought I was her kid! That made me wonder where her real daughter was. But before I was able to process that thought, a whole new flood of thoughts over took it as I skidded to a halt in front of a destroyed army of MGeeks.
Okay, "Army" was a stretch, but it was a lot of scattered robot pieces. The lady grabbed my arm then turned me around to face her. "Look," I began, "go back to the bookstore and look for your daughter, 'cause I ain't her." I said.
"I walked all around the bookstore before I came and found you! So therefore, I know that you are here!" She exclaimed, seeming to get angry at me. I sighed as I realized I was going to have to take drastic action to make this woman believe me. So, I whipped out my wings, right there in the mall in front of all those people. I heard gasps, and the lady standing in front of me went pale.
"You're..." She said quietly.
"Maximum Ride." I supplied quickly. "Now, if you'll excuse me-" I turned to start walking away.
"Wait, if you're not my daughter, where is she?" The woman asked, her voice breaking near the end of her sentence. I looked back at her, being only a arm length away.
"Would she run away?" I asked, wanting to get this over with quickly. The woman shook her head "no" I sighed. "Then either my Flock mistook her for me, or the bad guys did." Her face was drained of all color after I said that. "I have to go." I said, I went to pull my arm away from her when she tightened her grip.
"Max-" Her voice broke and she swallowed hard. I looked into her eyes and saw tears forming. "Please, bring my daughter back safely." It sounded like she was going to cry, and I saw real worry in her eyes. It made me think of my mom, and how worried she was about me all the time.
"I will. I promise." I said, my own voice weak. I hate mushy emotions more than any other emotions, but before I knew it, I was giving this stranger a hug, whispering a promise in her ear. "I promise I'll bring her back in one piece." I felt the woman's tears on my shoulder, her body shaking. I pulled away from her then dashed down the hall, hoping my Flock hadn't gotten too far without me.

Chapter 6, continued
Professor Longbottom looked down at what had bumped into him, and Andrea and Albus glanced up. "Well, well, well. Who do we have wandering around in a forbidden corridor at this time of night?" Professor Longbottom asked, patting Albus's head, even though he couldn't see it. "Too short to be James...Oh, don't tell me..." Professor Longbottom groaned and lifted up the invisibility cloak. He sighed as he saw Albus and Andrea both standing there. Albus smiled up at him sheepishly, while Andrea hid her face in her hands. "What are you two doing?" Professor Longbottom asked, disappointment lingering in his voice.
"I knew we were going to get caught. I TOLD you so!" Andrea said, glaring at Albus. Her glare was so hard it almost scared him.
"I just wanted to come down and...I...I don't know..." Albus finally just let his sentence dangle while Andrea began mumbling things that were impossible to understand.
"Do you two realize you were breaking at least two rules?" Professor Longbottom asked, kneeling down to be at nearly eye level with Albus.
"Yes, sir. But, it's all my fault, really-" Albus began, but Andrea cut him off.
"Oh, please. It's not all your fault. Sure, you were stupid enough to get the idea, but I was stupid enough to go along with it! I mean, where's my common sense?!? It's gone! Gone I tell you!" Andrea was practically screaming at Albus, throwing her hands up in the air. She sighed and leaned against the wall, letting her back slide against it until she was sitting on the floor.
"I'm sorry, Professor." She said quietly. Albus nodded.
"Me too." He chimed in. Professor Longbottom sighed.
"Well, it doesn't matter how sorry you are. You still broke the rules, and I still have to tell Professor McGonagal." Both of the children looked up at Professor Longbottom with sad eyes. "After your classes, I'll take you both up to her office to talk with her, and she'll decide your punishment." The children nodded, then began shuffling back to their room with Professor Longbottom behind them.
The next day and breakfast, Samantha just shook her head after hearing the story of Andrea and Albus's midnight walk. "I can't believe you guys did that!" She said. James smiled.
"I can!" He reached over Samantha to give Albus a high-five. Albus didn't give him one.
"I feel really bad..." He said, instead. James rolled his eyes.
"Don't worry, that'll go away...in a few years." James laughed and Samantha biffed him. Her hair was pink again, and pulled back in a pony tail. Holly giggled as James rubbed his arm, and Derek and Peter just sat there, staring at Andrea and Albus.
Suddenly, the mail owls came through and began dropping letters and packages on the tables. Samantha's eagle came right to their table and circled overhead before dropping a letter into Samantha's eggs. Samantha looked up and shook her head. Albus's head jerked up as he heard the eagle screech. He glanced over at Samantha and stared at her.
"Wow, you're eagle sure can talk." He remarked. James had his hands over his ears as he glared at Samantha.
"Oh, that wasn't the eagle..." James said resentfully. Samantha beamed.
"You did that?" Peter asked in disbelief. Samantha nodded proudly. "You know how to speak eagle?!?" He asked, still not believing it.
"Yep. And lots of other animals, too." Samantha said matter-of-factly.
"How?" Derek asked.
"Hello, sleep problem!" Samantha replied in a "duh" tone. Derek nodded, understanding. Samantha picked up her letter and wiped the egg off it. She was about to read it when Peter looked at his watch and gasped.
"We're gonna be late! Come on!" He grabbed Holly by the arm and yanked her up then dashed out of the room, still holding her arm. Holly gave a short scream as they ran. Derek, Albus and Andrea all jumped up while James and Samantha got up a bit slower. They all dashed off to their separate classes.
